UFC 230: Cormier vs. Lewis

UFC 230 takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 4 (AWST). The event is headlined by two-division titleholder Daniel Cormier who defends his heavyweight strap against Derrick Lewis.

On Thursday the promotion added to the card a rematch between Roxanne Modafferi and Sijara Eubanks. The pair of flyweights faced off for the first time a year ago, when a three-round contest ended in favor of the latter who earned a unanimous decision.

“Women’s flyweight contenders Sijara Eubanks and Roxanne Modafferi first met in the semifinals of The Ultimate Fighter 26 last year,” stated in the announcement. “On November 3 [Nov. 4 AWST], they will face off again, with Eubanks seeking a repeat win over the veteran Modafferi in UFC 230 action at Madison Square Garden in New York City.”

Eubanks (3-2) makes her second official UFC appearance, following a successful debut made in June, when she scored a unanimous decision against Lauren Murphy. MMA veteran Modafferi (22-14) is coming off the second-round stoppage win earned against Barb Honchak in July.
