Girl Power Kickboxing
Women’s kickboxing tournament Girl Power 7 was produced on Friday October 19 in Kladno. The event marked the series’ debut in Czech Republic, featuring a knockout contest with eight international competitors.
Lucia Szabova of Slovakia scored three victories during one evening, consequently becoming a winner of the tournament. In addition, she received a prestigious WKN championship belt.
In the opening round the Slovakian kickboxer scored a unanimous decision against the representative of the country-host Zarina Apakova. In semi-final she similarly defeated Paola Cappucci of Italy.
The final bout featured Szabova up against local star, Czech Tereza Dvorakova. The latter is a known “Girl Power” participant, who won the fourth contest in Varna, as well as became a semi-finalist of Season 1 Finale.
On the way to the final bout of Girl Power 7 Dvorakova stopped Poland’s Wiktoria Mirecka in the second round, and took a unanimous decision against Maltese Diane Schembri.
The Szabova vs Dvorakova bout went the distance. After three rounds of women’s kickboxing a unanimous decision was announced in favor of Slovakian fighter. The complete fight results can be found below.
Girl Power 7 Kladno was presented by Pavel Hakim Majer in terms of Noc Valecniku 15. Four-time K-1 World Champion Ernesto Hoost attended the event as a special guest.
