Simply the Best 23 features double MMA headliner

Simply the Best 23 is held in central Argentinian town San Luis on November 10 (Nov. 11 AEST). The event features a double MMA headliner, following a series of kickboxing shows produced over the course of Season 4 in Buenos Aires and Cordoba.

In the main event the representative of the country-host Fernando Martinez faces Leandro Martin Aranguren of Uruguay. The pair battles out for WKN South American Lightweight title.

“Pitbull” Martinez is riding a five-fight win streak. His resume includes the victories over Rodrigo Pacheco, Roque Acosta, Sergio Alvarez, among others.

Aranguren faced a defeat in his previous bout against Douglas Felipe, who scored the second-round submission win. Before that he defeated the likes of Gabriel Medina and Bruno Machado.

In the co-main event Francisco Lefebvre of Paraguay takes on Rodrigo Carlos of Brazil. The contest is for WKN International Light Heavyweight title.

“La Tempestad” Lefebvre won four most recent bouts against Anderson Fernando dos Santos Silva, Cristian Braganza, Junior Moses and Cristian Braganza.

“Buga” Carlos is coming off a decision defeat against Antonio Trocoli Filho, which snapped his four-fight winning streak including the wins against Lucas Chiumiento, Gledson da Silva Nunes, among others.

Simply the Best 23 is presented in terms of “K.O. San Luis” with a support of governor, Dr. Alberto Rodriguez Saa and former World Kickboxing Network Super Cruiserweight champion Jorge “Acero” Cali.
