Meksen stops Menezes, regains super bantamweight belt

Kickboxing event GLORY 61 was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on Sunday November 3 (AEDT). The headliner of the show featured a lightweight championship bout between the defending champion Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong and Josh Jauncey.

The scheduled for five rounds contest went the distance. A unanimous decision was announced in favor of Sitthichai who consequently retained the strap.

In the co-main event Jady Menezes faced Anissa Meksen in defense of women’s super bantamweight title. The bout ended prior the final bell. The latter stopped her opponent in the second round with punches, and as a result took the title.

Also on the card Omari Boyd scored a unanimous decision against Alan Scheinson, and Kevin VanNostrand similarly defeated Massaro Glunder. The complete results can be found below.
