Simply the Best 23 – K.O. San Luis took place at Ave Fenix on November 10 (Nov. 11). The event was a mixed-fight bill with kickboxing and MMA bouts presented on the card. A pair of WKN championship bouts headlined the show featuring Fernando Martinez up against Brian Araujo for South American lightweight title, and Rodrigo Carlos faceoff Francisco Lefebvre for international heavyweight belt.
Simply the Best 23 was presented by former World Kickboxing Network Super Cruiserweight champion Jorge Acero Cali. Governor of San Luis Province Alberto Rodriguez Saa supported the event. The ANSL (News Agency San Luis) broadcasted the event on YouTube.

Argentinian Mixed Martial Artist Fernando Martinez topped the fight bill taking on Brian Araujo of Uruguay. The pair battled out for WKN South American Lightweight title. The bout ended in favor of the representative of the country-host who submitted his opponent in the second round.
In the co-main event Brazilian Rodrigo “Buga” Carlos faced off Francisco Lefebvre of Paraguay. The contest for WKN International Heavyweight title also ended prior the final horn. In the first round Lefebvre received leg injury and was unable to proceed. As a result Carlos was awarded a TKO victory, consequently taking the belt.
Also on the main card Luis Avila stopped Carlos Lepez in the third round of their light heavyweight MMA battle.
In addition, three professional kickboxing bouts were featured on the programme. Super featherweight Jorge Barroso scored a unanimous decision against Dario Torres. Featherweight Santiago Blanco took a majority decision against Franco Guajardo. Another featherweight bout between Bruno Guichon and Facundo Astorga ended in a draw.
