Crowd brawl at kickboxing event in western Ireland

Kickboxing event “Lords of the Ring” was held at Oakwood Hotel in Shannon, County Clare in western Ireland this past Saturday (Nov. 17). A footage emerged in social media, showing a crowd brawl – people throw punches and chairs at each other at the function room (video below).

One person was hospitalized, The Sun reported. According to Gardai (police service of the Republic of Ireland) he wasn’t seriously injured.

“There were no arrests on the night but the investigation is ongoing,” The Irish Times quotes garda spokesman. “We are looking at CCTV and other footage of this incident as part of this investigation.”

One of the videos from the incident was published on YouTube by user “25pappy”. Numerous other clips can be found on Twitter. Viewer discretion is advised.
