UFC Beijing results: Ngannou stops Blaydes at Fight Night 141

UFC Beijing Fight Night marked the first visit of Ultimate Fighting Championship to China’s sprawling capital on November 24 (AEDT). MMA event took place at Cadillac Arena featuring a twelve-fight bill.

A rematch between heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Francis Ngannou topped the fight card. The contest ended early in the first round with the latter scoring a stoppage win with punches. In addition, Ngannou claimed the second win against Blaydes. The pair first met in April 2016 when he took the win by TKO in the second-round.

Post-fight Nganonu said he wants to fight Junior dos Santos and Alexander Volkov, as well as looks for a rematch against Stipe Miocic (via Twitter).

The co-main event featured another clash of heavyweights between Alistair Overeem and Sergey Pavlovich. The bout also ended prior the final horn. “The Reem” as well scored the TKO win with punches.

Also on the main card, bantamweight Yadong Song claimed a unanimous decision against Vince Morales, and welterweight Li Jingliang stopped David Zawada in the third round with body kick and punches.
