GLORY 62 results: Jamal Ben Saddik wins $150,000 knockout tournament

Kickboxing event GLORY 62 took place at Ahoy Rotterdam this past Saturday (Dec. 8). A knockout tournament headlined the show featuring eight international heavyweights battling it out in a $150,000 USD eliminator (approx $211,500 AUD).

Jamal Ben Saddik took the tournament after her won three fights during one evening going through quarterfinal, semifinal and final. In the opening round he took a TKO win against Junior Tafa in the first round.

“A body shot dropped Tafa and produced a count from the referee. A second kick to the body sent Tafa down again and the fight was waved off, allowing Ben Saddik to move to the semifinals,” reads the event recap.

In semifinal Jamal Ben Saddik earned a unanimous decision against Guto Inocente. In the final he knocked out Benjamin Adegbuyi in the first round.

On the way to the final Adegbuyi took a unanimous decision against Arkadiusz Wrzosek, and stopped Jahfarr Wilnis in the third round with head kick.

A light heavyweight battle between Artur Gorlov and Luis Tavares, which served as GLORY 62 co-main event, ended in favor of the latter, who took a split decision. Also on the night Marat Grigorian defeated Christian Baya also by split decision.
