‘Swift’ Smith tops Billy Murray’s ‘made in Prokick’ event

The World Kickboxing Network returns to the United Kingdom on February 23 with the next “made in ProKick” event held in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Billy Murray promotion takes place at Stormont Hotel featuring welterweight Johnny “Swift” Smith battling it out on the top of the fight-bill.

“The first ProKick home show of 2019 will roll back into east Belfast for a night of international kickboxing and it’s back at the majestic Stormont Hotel,” reads the announcement on Monday. “Johnny ‘Swift’ Smith continues his quest to become a professional world champion as he tops the fight-bill.”

In his recent outing Johnny Smith stopped Periklis Filippou of Cyprus in the second round. The bout headlined Back at the Clayton mid October. Before that he defeated Camilo Villada Posada of Spain, Samuel De Blake of Canada, Hakim Ketaieb of France, among others.

Previously, ProKick has already hit Stormont Hotel with an international lineup presented late June. An upcoming event is also scheduled to feature local and international competitors. The name of opponent taking on Smith, as well as other participants are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

In addition, this past Sunday (Dec. 9) World Kickboxing Network visited Klodzko, which was the fourth event produced in Poland this year. Billed as “Charity Santa’s Tournament for Children” the event was dedicated to junior competitors.
