The Kings of Muay Thai visit Phuket

The first “Thai Fight” scheduled for 2019 takes place in Phuket, Thailand. Muay Thai event marks the first time when the promotion visits a rainforested, mountainous island in the Andaman Sea.

The venue (stadium) accommodating an upcoming show is yet to be determined. Nevertheless, FIGHTMAG learned the date of Thai Fight Phuket – February 16, Top Sangmorakot revealed on Thursday.

To date, the fight card is yet to be announced. Yet, famed Saenchai is scheduled to headline the show (Sangmorakot confirmed).

The 38-year-old star, Saenchai is dubbed as one of the greatest Muay Thai fighters of all time. Over the course of his career he won Lumpinee Boxing Stadium championship in four different weight classes, as well as defeated Fabio Pinca, Andrei Kulebin, Liam Harrison, among others.

Riding a 44-win streak Saenchai is coming of a unanimous decision win against Jamal Madani at Thai Fight Final 2018 held this past Saturday in Nakhon Ratchasima. The name of his next opponent at Thai Fight Phuket and the rest of fight card is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

In addition Phuket accommodates the next edition of All Star Fight. Topped by Buakaw Banchamek Muay Thai event is scheduled for January 27.
