Nathan Corbett joins Lion Fight as commentator

Dubbed as the “Man with the Golden Elbows” Nathan Corbett (59-5, 1 NC, 44 KO) is the former world champion in three weight classes, which includes eleven title belts. New Zealand-born Muay Thai star has lived in and represented Australia for fifteen years, prior his transition to the United States mid last year.

In what happened to be his last fight in April 2014 Corbett faced kickboxing legend turned UFC fighter Gokhan Saki at GLORY 15 Istanbul with the bout ending in favor of the latter who took the first-round TKO win due to ear injury of his opponent. Yet, “Carnage” retired as WKN World Heavyweight champion being victorious over Henriques Zowa by TKO with elbow in Round 2, which was his his third successful title defense.

During the next three and a half years Nathan Corbett has held “Carnage Striking” seminars across Oceania, Europe, as well as in South America. Currently living in the US he continues his journey as a teacher, coaching the elite fighters, hosting workshops for Muay Thai devotees and more.

This past November “Carnage” Corbett appeared shoulder to shoulder with legendary Barry Tompkins, co-commentating Lion Fight 50 held in Los Angeles, CA. A series of events has been scheduled for 2019 with three dates and locations locked in to date, FIGHTMAG learned Thursday.

On February 16 Lion Fight returns to LA. On March 16 the promotion visits the hometown of Conor McGregor, Dublin, Ireland. On March 30 Muay Thai returns to Las Vegas, NV.

A technical advisor (color commentator) Nathan “Carnage” Corbett is scheduled to commentate the happenings ringside. Event information, fight cards and other shows are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
