Akram Hamidi defends his WKN European Bantamweight title on April 6, World Kickboxing Network announced Saturday. Going through the ropes in Bitche (commune in north-eastern France) he tops the event presented by Sebastien Seel.

Fighting out of Strasbourg under the patronage of Steeve Valente, Akram Hamidi earned the prestigious title early last month. Battling out in his home town the 19-year-old Frenchman stopped Maltese-Italian Samuel Andolina in the second round. Earlier in his career he has also defeated Nong Rose, Daren Rolland, Hamza Merdi, among others.

The fighter scheduled to challenge Hamidi for the title is yet to be named. More information is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
