World Kickboxing Network announces event in Barcelona, Spain

The World Kickboxing Network visits Barcelona this June with the championship fight card presented by Black Bull Badalona – Team Calvet. The event is an addition to a series of MMA promotions “MMAARCA” scheduled in Madrid over the course of 2019.

The WKN World, European and two Spanish national championship belts are expected to be contested at the upcoming show. The list of announced competitors includes flyweight Samvel Babayan, super bantamweight Jordi Requejo, and a pair of super lightweights Antonio Campoy and Genis Salas.

Samvel Babayan holds the title of WKN Spanish Flyweight champion which he earned in 2017 against Daniel Orden. Before the event in Barcelona, on April 27 he goes through the ropes in Rome, where he takes on Italian Emanuele Tetti battling it out for World Kickboxing Network Flyweight title.

The names of challengers, weight divisions and the exact date of the event in Barcelona are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

This past weekend the organization announced six dates for Spanish MMA series MMARCA. The events are scheduled from April to November at the yet to be named locations. The schedule can be found below.
