UFC 234 fighters on weight
Following a series of promotional events held this week, including the pre-fight press conference, the official weigh-in ceremony for UFC 234 was held today (Feb. 9) at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia. All fighters featured on the card made the required weight limit.
Top of the fight-bill held tomorrow (Feb. 10) features Robert Whittaker in defense of his UFC Middleweight title against Kelvin Gastelum. The challenger was the first to step on the scales declaring 184. The current titleholder weighed-in at 185.
The co-main event is a highly anticipated middleweight battle between Anderson Silva and Israel Adesanya. The Brazilian MMA legend tipped the scales at 186. Nigerian-born MMA sensation representing New Zealand showed 185.
Both bantamweights, Rani Yahya and Ricky Simon weighed-in at 135. Montana De La Rosa declared 125 for her flyweight bout against Nadia Kassem who was 124. Light Heavyweight Jim Crute was 206 while his opponent Sam Alvey showed 205.
