Villejuif Boxing Show: two WKN titles on the line
The “Villejuif Boxing Show” is held on March 15 marking the visit of World Kickboxing Network to commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. The event features a pair of WKN championship bouts with European and Intercontinental crowns on the line.
The previously announced representative of the country-host Christian Berthely received an opponent. Going through the ropes in Villejuif he defends his WKN Intercontinental Super Welterweight title against Altynbek Zhunusov (8-0-0, 3 KO), the organization announced on Tuesday.
The French fighter earned the belt at kickboxing series Simply the Best 12 produced in November 2016 in Farciennes, Belgium where he stopped local Nordine Saidane in the first round.
The 27-year-old Kazakh fighter is the two-time winner of kickboxing World Cup, Asian champion as well as the seven-time national champion. The resume of Zhunusov includes over 70 amateur contests.
Villejuif Boxing Show is headlined by WKN European Middleweight title fight between French Benjamin Gerbet and Albanian-Greek George Gropaj. The undercard features a series of rating bouts.
