The World Kickboxing Network visited Malta with “Gladiators Fight Night 22” held last night (Feb. 23) at Corradino Sports Pavillion. The event featured a series of bouts with local and international competitors.
In the main event the representative of the country-host Faris Lukovic faced off Puig Guell of Spain. The pair battled it out for WKN European pro-amateur title in the super light heavyweight class.
The scheduled for four rounds championship bout ended prior the final bell. In the third round the local fighter put on a series of heavy punches and kicks, which forced the corner of Spanish competitor to throw-in the towel saving him from the further damage.
As a result Faris Lukovic was pronounced as the winner by TKO in Round 3. The promoter of the event Noel Mercieca awarded the winner with WKN championship belt.
