The World Kickboxing Network hits south of France with the fight-bill held on March 30 in Nimes. International event features some of the leading French fighters as well as the representatives of Poland, Switzerland and Italy. Local Mickael Pignolo and Swiss Killian Emery have been added to the roster on Friday.
Mickael Pignolo is the reigning WKN European Super Welterweight champion in oriental kickboxing (K-1 rules). The Frenchman won the title against Frank Madsen of Greenland. In 2018 he successfully defended the belt scoring a unanimous decision against Hristo Hristov of Bulgaria.
Killian Emery, son of former World Champion Carl Emery, is coming of the third-round knockout win against Shane Weir of Scotland. The pair squared off at the recent Prokick kickboxing event in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Among the previously announced matchups the representative of the country-host Mallaury Kalachnikoff and Polish Katarzyna Jaworska battle it out for WKN International Women’s Lightweight title. Also on the card Hakim Ketaieb meets his French-fellow Alexandre Cilia at 67 kg catchweight bout.
The names of fighters going up against Pignolo and Emery at BFS 1 Nimes are expected to be announced shortly. The current lineup can be found below.
