WKN Directors Stephane Cabrera, Osman Yigin visit Almaty

Stephane Cabrera and Osman Yigin visit Central Asia. On Thursday (AEDT) the Directors of World Kickboxing Network landed in Almaty (Kazakhstan’s largest metropolis) where they met the local fight promoter Nuraddin Sadykov.

“We arrived to Central Asia, Kazakhstan and received a very warm welcome from Mr. Nuraddin Sadykov and his collaborator Mr. Sultan. Almaty is a very big city with a lot of monuments and the beautiful places to see. The lake, mountains, wild and preserved nature. We had the chance to visit some of these wonderful places,” said WKN President Stephane Cabrera.

“It is important for World Kickboxing Network to open new doors, make cultural exchange between the countries. It what the sport is about.”

Talking fight business Cabrera said that Mr. Sadykov is a part of promotion group that organizes international kickboxing, MMA and boxing events. He also added that Kazakh fighter Altynbek Zhunusov, who challenges French Christian Berthely for WKN Intercontinental Super Welterweight title on March 15 in Villejuif, makes history as the first representative of Kazakhstan to partake in WKN title fight in France.

The list of activities for today includes kickboxing seminar hosted by former 16-time World Champion Osman Yigin.

The WKN travel to Central Asia follows the visits to Tanzania, Zanzibar, Iran and Nepal.
