Japanese sensation Tenshin Nasukawa and Argentinian kickboxing star Federico Roma squared off on March 10 in Tokyo. The pair battled it out in the main event of RISE World Series.
The Nasukawa vs. Roma contest was the quarterfinal bout of RISE 58 kg tournament. The event took place at Ota City General Gymnasium on FITE TV.
The scheduled for three rounds bout ended prior the final bell. The local fighter stopped his opponent at 1:30 of the third round with the cartwheel kick.
As a result Nasukawa (29-0, 23 KO kickboxing, 4-0 MMA) remains undefeated and advances to the semi-final of RISE tournament. He also rebounces from the first-round knockout suffered against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition boxing bout held on New Year’s Eve.
