Two WKN title belts are on the line tonight (Mar. 15) in France when World Kickboxing Network visits southern suburb of Paris, Villejuif. Top of the bill features the representative of the country-host Benjamin Gerbet up against George Gropaj of Greece. The pair battles it out for a vacant WKN European Middleweight title.
The official weigh-in ceremony was conducted on Friday. Gropaj was the first to step on the scales showing 76.1 kg. Gerbet declared 75.7 kg, coming in 500 gram lighter the limit of 76.2 kg. The championship bout is scheduled for five rounds.
The second championship bout features the defending WKN Intercontinental Super Welterweight champion French Christian Berthely face off Altynbek Zhunusov of Kazakhstan. The guest weighed-in at 72 kg. The current titleholder was 72.6 kg. The contest is also scheduled for five rounds.
