Three international kickboxing events have been added to the WKN event calendar for 2019. The list includes the visit to Scotland, as well as the return to Slovakia and Italy.
Prestigious sports governing “returns to Scotland on March 23 with international event billed as “Predator Strike Wars”. Presented by Albert Ross in Fraserburgh, it is the second visit of WKN to the United Kingdom this year, following ‘Prokick’ held in Belfast, Northern Ireland last month,” reads the announcement on Wednesday.
The event in Fraserburgh follows “Against the Ropes Fight Night” produced last July. In 2000s World Kickboxing Network sanctioned a number of championship events in Scotland, visiting such cities as Motherwell and Aberdeen.
On June 15 WKN visits Slovakia for the second time in 2019 with “Galavecer Bojovych Sportov” held in Povazska Bystrica. The previous show, “Fight for Bratislava” was held late last month when Stefan Meszaros earned WKN European Welterweight title by a unanimous decision against Przemyslaw Kierpacz.
The upcoming event is headlined by Martin Knazek and Milan Kovac. The pair battles it out for WKN Slovakian Middleweight belt in oriental kickboxing.
On July 6 current WKN European Featherweight champion Nicola Canu is scheduled to headline the event in Iglesias, which marks the first visit of World Kickboxing Network to Sardinia this year. It is also the second promotion in Italy in 2019 following “Ringmania 6” held early February in Pero.
