WKN Latvia: LNK Fight Night 11 results

The World Kickboxing Network returned to Latvia on March 23 with European championship bout featured on the card at LNK Fight Night 11. The event presented by Vadim Milov and Eugene Sapronenko took place at Arena Riga in the city capital featuring the representative of the country-host Zaur Dzhavadov up against Jozef Kolodzej of Slovakia. The pair battled it out for WKN European Middleweight title in oriental kickboxing (K-1 rules).

The scheduled for five rounds championship bout ended before the final bell. Kolodzej received an eight count in the second round when Dzhavadov dropped him with left hook. Slovakian southpaw beat the count as well as went through the next round. Yet, it was all over in Round 4.

During an exchange Dzhavadov caught the kick of his opponent and countered with left hook, sending Kolodzej to the canvas for the second time. Although the latter beat the count the referee waved the fight off.

As a result, Zaur Dzhavadov was pronounced as the winner by technical knockout in the fourth round, and became a new WKN European Middleweight champion. President of World Kickboxing Network Stephane Cabrera awarded Latvian kickboxer with a prestigious belt.
