WKN Czech: Kladno in the Cage

The World Kickboxing Network returns to Czech Republic on May 25 with “Noc Valecniku 16” (Night of Warrior, Eng.). International event takes place in the city Kladno, marking the first visit of the prestigious sports organization to the country this year.

“The event billed as “Kladno v Kleci” (Kladno in the Cage, Eng.) takes place at the Sportovni Hala Kladno featuring local and international competitors,” reads the announcement made on Tuesday. The promoter of the show is Pavel Hakim Majer.

The previous event presented in Kladno, the city in the Central Bohemian Region, marked the debut of Girl Power Kickboxing in Czech Republic in attendance of K-1 Kickboxing legend Ernesto Hoost. The event also featured a series of kickboxing, boxing and MMA bouts.

In addition, Czech Republic accommodated three Episodes of Simply the Best Kickboxing produced over the course of three seasons (2014-2017). Ondrej Hutnik, Matous Kohout, Daniel Skvor, among others, battled it out in Prague, with WKN World and subordinate titles contested at the events.

Among the participants of the upcoming show, Czech heavyweight Alexander Cverna (5-2) reportedly looks to make his next appearance inside the ring. The matchups and more information for Noc Valecniku 16 is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
