Lion Fight: 10 Years of Muay Thai promotions celebrated in Las Vegas

Carnage Diary: Recap Lion Fight 53 Las Vegas

Following the event in Dublin, Ireland last month, Lion Fight 53 was something very special. It was the promotion’s 10-year anniversary and first time back in Las Vegas since 2017.

The old Downtown Las Vegas is a very unique place with so much character. From the small churches, that you can get marriage in, to old school hotels and street lights, looking something like out of movie from back in the early 80s. The famous Sin City was in full swing by the time Saturday night’s event took off at the outside DLVEC with music and people of all walks of life wondering the streets.

With the sun setting, the main fight card kicked off with all the glam of the stage lighting. It was finally showtime, an evening of Muay Thai action and entertainment was set.

My experience being ringside from the commentary table was close to the best seat in the house, other than the referee center ring. I remember being the actual fighter, but now get the pleasure to call the fights from all my passion and experience in the game of Muay Thai.

CBS Sports Network captured the carnage inside the ring, whilst my commentary partner Dave Ryan and I called the action.

Filled with great fights Lion Fight 53 had four main event bouts with all giving exactly what what we expected, fight action.

It was was a epic night of Muay Thai glam and entertainment. With only three weeks to go, the lions will out to attack again at the next event, Lion Fight 54, scheduled for April 20 at Route 66 Casino Hotel Albuquerque, New Mexico.
