Thai Fight Samui 2019
Famed promotion Thai Fight celebrated its 10-year anniversary with the event held this past Sunday in Nakhon Si Thammarat, southern Thailand. Nine bouts were featured on the card with local and international competitors showcasing their skills in a series of Muay Thai and Kard Chuek contests where instead of boxing gloves the rope is used around hand and forearm. Legendary Saenchai battled it out in the headliner of the show scoring a spectacular win by knockout in the second round against Javad Bigdeli of Iran.
Post-event the promotion announced Samui as the place to host its next installment, which marks the return of “Kings of Muay Thai” to Thailand’s second largest island since May 2018. It will also be the fourth “Thai Fight” presented on Ko Samui since 2016.
Top Sangmorakot revealed to FIGHTMAG the date of Thai Fight Samui 2019. The event is scheduled for April 27, with Saenchai topping the fight card in his next appearance inside the square circle.
