International kickboxing made in Prokick

The next edition of “Prokick” presented by Billy Murray is scheduled for June 23 at Clayton Hotel in Belfast. The event marks the second visit of World Kickboxing Network to Northern Ireland for 2019. The headline-bout was announced early this week, featuring the representative of the country-host Johnny “Swift” Smith up against Korean Lee Ji Hoon. The pair battles it out for WKN Intercontinental Welterweight title. Later in the week a series of other main card bouts was added to the programme.

Among the matchups local Rowena Bolt takes on Chloe Quinn of Ireland. The women’s kickboxing contest is scheduled for three rounds at catchweight with the limit of 50 kg. The pair was initially set for the previous “Back at the Clayton” event held last October. The bout fell off when the latter was forced to withdraw due to injury. Bolt instead faced Italian Valentina De Santis, in the encounter that ended in a draw.

In her previous outing this past February Bolt scored a unanimous decision against another Italian fighter Maura Scano. The resume of Quinn includes Silver at ISKA 2018 Amateur World Championships in Greece, as well as two IKF Irish Junior titles in Light Contact.

In addition, according the fight card currently published on Prokick.com the list of bouts set for the upcoming event also includes Shane Weir face off Cathal Dunne, Reza Davies up against David McCormack, among others. Additional bouts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
