Last weekend “Thai Fight” returned to Koh Samui presenting nine bouts with local and international competitors. Post-show Muay Thai promotion immediately announced its next event scheduled for June 29 in Betong.
An upcoming show will mark the first visit of “Kings of Muay Thai to Betong – a town in southern Thailand, near the Malaysian border. The event is expected to feature a series of bouts, including Kard Chuek contests, where instead of boxing gloves the rope is used around hand and forearm.
Famed Saenchai (309-49-2) is expected to headline the fight-bill. Battling it out in Samui last Saturday (Apr. 27), he comfortably scored a three-round unanimous decision against Russian Maksim Manafov.
Riding the 46-fight win streak Saenchai is currently on his way to Europe to host a series of Muay Thai seminars in France, Spain and Belgium.
