Middleweight battle between Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa has been re-booked for the upcoming UFC 241 Pay-Per-View fight card, the promotion announced on Wednesday. The event is scheduled for August 18 (AEDT) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Romero and Costa were initially expected to square off at UFC 230 last November. The bout fell off and was re-booked several times for other events, but each time got cancelled due to injuries of both fighters. Nevertheless, “They’ll finally settle it in Anaheim,” reads the tweet.
In his previous bout last June Yoel Romero (13-3) faced the defeat by split decision against the current UFC Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. Before that he stopped Luke Rockhold in the third round.
To date Paulo Costa is undefeated in all twelve bouts of his professional MMA career. He has also won all of his four UFC outings by way of KO/TKO. This includes the victories against Uriah Hall, Johny Hentricks, among others.
