Nate Diaz (19-1) returns to MMA action on August 18 (AEDT) taking on Anthony Pettis (22-8) at the upcoming UFC 241. The event takes place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. The pair squares off in the scheduled for three rounds welterweight battle. The promotion announced the matchup on Tuesday (via Twitter).
Diaz hasn’t fought in three years, since his second encounter with Conor McGregor, who took a majority decision at UFC 202. Before that, he sensationally submitted “The Notorious” in the second round, following a unanimous decision win against Michael Johnson.
Former UFC Lightweight champion Pettis is fresh of the win against Stephen Thompson earned by way of knockout in the second round in the headliner of UFC on ESPN+ 6 in March. Before that he suffered the second-round TKO defeat against Tony Ferguson.
