Thai star Stamp Fairtex defends against Aussie Alma Juniku

Following the blockbuster produced last weekend in Singapore, Asian promotion ONE Championship announced its visit to China. The event billed as “Legendary Quest” takes place at the Baoshan Arena in Shanghai on June 15. Top of the fight-bill features women’s Muay Thai bout between the defending atomweight champion Stamp Fairtex and the challenger Alma Juniku.


Thai fighter Stamp Fairtex won ONE Atomweight Muay Thai belt by a unanimous decision against Janet Todd in February. Before that she captured kickboxing strap in the same weight class scoring a unanimous decision against former champion Kai Ting Chuang.

The representative of Australia Alma Juniku makes her ONE Championship debut. Her resume includes the wins against Brooke Farrell, Yolanda Schmidt, Zaza Sor Aree, among others.

The co-main event of ONE: Legendary Quest features Japanese mixed martial artist Yoshihiro Akiyama in his promotional debut against Agilan Thani of Malaysia. Also on the card Tarik Khbabez of Morocco meets Brazilian Anderson Silva in kickboxing battle.

As well, Dutch MMA fighter Reinier De Ridder squares off against Gilberto Galvao, also representing Brazil, and Chinese Han Zi Hao faces Scottish Andrew Miller in Muay Thai clash. In addition, Thai Rodlek, representing the gym of famed Saenchai, takes on multiple Muay Thai champion from England Liam Harrison.
