Tomas Mozny faces Nordine Mahieddine at GLORY 66 Paris

Tomas Mozny (20-8-1, 6 KO) tops the current list of prominent kickboxers from Slovakia. Although yet to win a world title “The Giant Slovak” contested for the prestigious World Kickboxing Network Super Heavyweight strap last year in Poland. He fell short due to cut received in the clash with Tomasz Sarara, which resulted in the termination of the bout in the fourth round by the doctor. Nevertheless the resume of representative of Body Gym Poprad features WKN European Heavyweight title, including a successful championship defense. In addition, Mozny is the winner of +500 kg tournament at Fight Night Saint Tropez IV, as well as the participant of GLORY Kickboxing $150k contest held last December.

However, one can say “Slovakian Giant” earned his notability early 2016 thanks to a perfectly landed hook kick. The video (below) shared on Facebook went viral gaining over a million likes in a week.

If that wasn’t enough… Mozny continued his performance in August the same year. Battling it out in the city of “Rich and Famous” he threw a series of punches followed by a knee, yet was tagged by left hook of Thomas Vanneste, which resulted in mouthguard flying.

“The Giant Slovak” concluded his attack with a kick and then… following a bit of juggling he successfully caught his mouthpiece and bowed to the VIP audience, which included Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke, among others. You can watch it for yourself below. Furthermore, Mozny came out victorious taking all four-man knockout tournament.

Tomas Mozny faces Nordine Mahieddine at GLORY 66 Paris

In his previous bout last December Mozny suffered the defeat by split decision against Jahfarr Wilnis. Before that he fell short against Sarara, and scored a unanimous decision against Daniel Skvor.

In his next outing the representative of WKN Top Team Tomas Mozny faces French competitor Nordine Mahieddine (18-7). The contest is featured on the GLORY 66 fight card. The event is held on June 22 at the Zenith Paris indoor arena in Paris, France. The clash of heavyweights is scheduled for three rounds.

Mahieddine makes his second appearance in GLORY Kickboxing, following his 2016 bout with his country-fellow Nicola Wamba, who scored a unanimous decision in Nice. Over the course of his career he defeated Andrei Stoica, Dragos Zubco, Andrey Gerasimchuk, among others.

In the main event of GLORY 66 Paris Cedric Doumbe defends his welterweight title against Alim Nabiyev. In the co-main event Anissa Meksen defends her super bantamweight strap against Sofia Olofsson. In addition, Artem Vakhitov defends his light heavyweight belt against Donegi Abena.
