Saenchai leads Team Thailand at Thai Fight Betong

The next installment of Muay Thai series “Thai Fight” is scheduled for June 29 at Betong Municipal Stadium in Betong, Thailand. The date of the event was set immediately after the culmination of previous edition held in April in Samui. The venue accommodating an upcoming show as well as the names of several participants, including Saenchai, have been recently announced by the promotion (via a post on Instagram).

Riding the 46-fight winning streak Saenchai (309-49-2) headlines “Thai Fight Betong” leading the team of representatives of the country-host. In his previous bout the famed Muay Thai fighter scored a unanimous decision against Maksim Manafov, which was his fifth outing this year.

The list of other Thai fighters includes Saenchai’s teammate Chanajon, Tengnueng Sitjesairoong, PTT V Rujirawong, Payak and Petch Samui, Kitti Sor.Jor.Danrayong, Samingdej Dejfaifa and Saensatharn Klong Saun Plu Resort. All of the above, except of the latter, took part in “Thai Fight Samui” facing off international competitors. Their opponents at Thai Fight Betong are yet to be named.

The “Thai Fight” promotion was launched in 2010 presenting the 16-man knockout contest. The televised tournament produced in Thailand featured some of the world-class competitors of that time with French star Fabio Pinca coming out victorious.

Since then the organization has held numerous international events in Thailand, as well as in Asia and Europe, with the likes of Saenchai, Yodsanklai Fairtex, Sudsakorn Sor. Klinmee and Buakaw Banchamek participating. In addition, a number of prominent European fighters battled it out in the ring of “Thai Fight” including Youssef Boughanem, Andrei Kulebin, Vitaly Gurkov, among others.

Most recently, “Thai Fight” holds the smaller events throughout Thailand, visiting various cities and provinces in order to help popularize “The Art of Eight Limbs”.

The full 9-fight card for Thai Fight Betong is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The current lineup featuring the representatives of Thailand can be found below.
