Manfredi vs. Yanut kicks off WLC women’s division

The World Lethwei Championship presents its next event “WLC: King of Nine Limbs” on August 2 at Mandalar Thiri Indoor Stadium in Mandalay. The fight show on Canal+ in Myanmar and UFC Fight Pass is headlined by a couple of title bouts. The third matchup has been recently confirmed for the upcoming card featuring Souris Manfredi of France up against Eh Yanut of Cambodia. The pair squares off in a newly established women’s class.

“The first official fight in the new women’s division will see French Muay Thai specialist Souris Manfredi against Khmer boxing champion Eh Yanut,” reads the announcement by the bareknuckle fighting organization (via Twitter).

The resume of Manfredi includes the battles against Petchsaifha Sor. Samai, Zeng Xiaoting, among others. In addition, to date she has recorded 15 knockouts behind her belt.

Eh Yanut is a daughter of Eh Phouthong, who is widely considered the greatest of all time in the world of Khmer boxing. She fought the likes of Saifa Sorphumarint, Vy Sreychhay, to name a couple.

In the main event lethwei openweight champion Dave Leduc and UFC Veteran Seth Baczynski battle it out for a vacant cruiserweight title. In the co-main event Artur Saladiak defends his light middleweight strap against Sasha Moisa.

In addition, Nguyen Tang Quyen is reportedly scheduled to partake in the upcoming show facing off a yet to be named opponent.
