The clash of super heavyweights was featured on the AFC 12: Hero of the Belt fight card held last night (June 10) at Sindorim Techno Mart Grand Ballroom in Seoul. The contest saw the 24-year-old Hungarian kickboxer David Mihajlov up against South Korean K-1 and Pride veteran Choi Hong-man, 38, with 40 kg in weight difference between them (110 and 150 respectively).
The pair met in the scheduled for three rounds kickboxing encounter battling it out in MMA gloves inside the cage. Yet, it was all over prior to the final bell. Hungarian southpaw unloaded a barrage of strikes in combination with knee to the head on his opponent, dropping a 2.19 meter-tall competitor to the canvas. Ultimately, the representative of REGYM Thaibox was pronounced as the winner by knockout in the first round.
The matchup was presented in collaboration between AFC (Angel’s Fighting Championship) and TFN (The Fighting Network/WKN). The feature fight served as the co-headliner of the show.
