Gladiators Fight Night 23 takes place at Corradino Sports Pavillion in Paola on June 29. The event marks the second visit of World Kickboxing Network to Malta for this year. On Tuesday the organization added to the card the second championship bout featuring the representative of the country-host Diane Schembri up against Pia Peters of Germany (via Twitter). The pair battles it out for WKN European Bantamweight title in the amateur class. The bout is scheduled for four rounds.
Schembri has recently competed in Poland where she took part in the women’s kickboxing eliminator Girl Power 8. Battling it out in the city Bedzin last Friday (June 7) she scored the first-round knockout win against Olga Gavrish of Ukraine, and dropped a decision in the semi-final to the eventual tournament winner Vittoria Di Mauro of Italy.
Peters is a protegee of Lutz Burmester. Over the course of her career she fought the likes of Semaja van Vaneveld, Tanja Huth and others.

In the main event of Gladiators Fight Night 23 Maltese Keith Azzopardi takes on Afghani-German Qurban Hosseini. The contest is for WKN World Featherweight title. The championship bout is scheduled for five rounds.
The event is also expected to see Carmelo Santostefano, Faris Lukovic, among others. The championship lineup is presented below.
