Fight for Glory: International Edition
WKN European title is on the line on July 13 at Pabellon de Llefia in Badalona, Spain where Jordi Calvet Guillen presents the night of international kickboxing billed as “Fight for Glory”. Top of the bill features the representative of the country-host Antonio Campoy up against Daniel Ghercioiu of Italy. The pair squares off in the scheduled for five rounds championship bout at lightweight, World Kickboxing Network announced on Friday.
Previously announced Spanish competitor Antonio Campoy is a two-time WKN Spanish Lightweight champion winning the title by a unanimous decision against Rafa Valle. He made a successful defense of his belt, also by a unanimous decision, against Eric Garcia.
The resume of Daniel Ghercioiu includes the wins against Laurent Carrere, Giorgio Leonardi, among others. Over the course of his career he appeared at numerous international events including Fighting Spirit, Thai Fight and Max Muay Thai.
The fight card of the upcoming show also includes a pair of WKN Spanish national title bouts. Both encounters are scheduled for five rounds at lightweight. Khyzer Hayat and Jose Quevedo square off in Muay Thai, following kickboxing battle between Genis Salas and Farah Silva.
The undercard includes a series of Spanish matchups in kickboxing and Muay Thai. The championship lineup can be found below.
