WKN Argentina: Estrellas de Acero

The World Kickboxing Network makes its second visit to Argentina this year presenting the next edition of “Bosch Tour” on July 6. The event takes place at Club Morón, in Morón, province of Buenos Aires, featuring a series of bouts with local and international competitors. Top of the fight-bill is a contest for WKN Argentinian Lightweight title between Gaston Monroe and Dylan Salazar, the organization announced on Friday.

“The highlight [of Bosch Tour] features the contest for WKN Argentinian Lightweight kickboxing title. Gaston Monroe and Dylan Salazar square off inside the ring to find out who is the baddest man in the division. Both fighters are known for their appearances at kickboxing series Simply the Best.”

The promoter of Bosch Tour is the former World Kickboxing Network Cruiserweight champion Cristian “La Serpiente” Bosch. The event is presented in collaboration with Estrellas de Acero (Steel Stars, Eng.) produced by famed Jorge “Acero” Cali.

The lineup of the upcoming show also includes Ignacio Capllonch, Nicolas Vega, Facundo Bocalandro, Carlos Ruiz, Camila Medina and others.

The previous WKN in Argentina, billed as “The Kumite” was held in February in Esquina, Corrientes Province.

The next on the organization’s calendar is two back to back events held tomorrow night (June 29) in Malta and Réunion featuring five WKN title bouts in total.

Newly-crowned World Kickboxing Network Featherweight champion in Full Contact Keith Azzopardi of Malta aspires to become two-sport world champion when he challenges Qurban Hosseini of Germany for WKN World Featherweight title under oriental rules. The contest headlines Gladiators Fight Night 23 held at Corradino Sports Pavillion in Paola.

The “La Nuit du K1 – Les Défis du Sud” (Challenges of South) event at Gymnase Nelson Mandela in Saint Pierre, Réunion, featuring a trio of title bouts. The headline bout is a contest for WKN Intercontinental Super Lightweight title between Yasser Olivier Lagarrigue of Reunion and Julien Schelkens of Belgium.
