Muay Thai event Thai Fight Betong was held last night (June 29) at Betong Municipal Stadium in Yala, Thailand. The lineup included nine matchups with local and international competitors. The headline-bout saw famed Saenchai battling it out against Cristian Pastore.

Saenchai and Pastore met in a three-round 67 kg catchweight bout. The encounter went the distance and ended in favor of the representative of the country-host.

In the opening round Saenchai dominated Pastore, executing a powerful left kick and knee to the body, axe kick and a series of sweeps. The overwhelmed Argentinian fighter lasted the following two rounds, yet, one can say, the bout resembled a technical sparring other than an aggressive fight aiming the victory.

In the end Saenchai claimed a victory by a unanimous decision and updated his record to 310-49-2. He is riding the 47-win streak since November 2014.

The rest of the card at Thai Fight Betong saw a series of Muay Thai bouts, as well as the matchups in Kard Chuek, where instead of boxing gloves the rope is used around hand and forearm.

All bouts except of one saw the dominance of Thai fighters over their international opponents.

Alex Avogardo took on Thai Petch Samui in the 63 kg catchweight bout in Kard Chuek. The scheduled for three rounds contest ended in the first round. The Italian competitor scored the win by knockout landing a spectacular spinning kick to the body (liver).
