Muay Thai event Domination 6 took place at Herb Graham Recreation Centre in Mirrabooka (Perth) WA on April 16, 2011. The event followed the previous show produced in September 2010, which saw Nathan “Carnage” Corbett challenging Pavel Zhuravlev for WKN World Heavyweight title.
Domination 6 marked the return of “Carnage” to Perth, which was the second time when “Elbow Master” battled it out in Western Australia. Corbett faced Piotr Lepich, who took the fight on a short notice replacing his Polish-fellow Tomasz Nowak.
The scheduled for five rounds 97 kg catchweight bout ended at the very end of the first round. Corbett completed a fairly easy task with overhand right elbow blow.
Nevertheless Domination Muay Thai 6 was far from a disappointment. The top Australian cruiserweights Alex James and Rob Powdrill squared off in the co-main event.
The all-around Muay Thai encounter went the full five round distance. The verdict heard a majority decision pronounced in favor of Powdrill.
The fight card also included an interstate contest between West Australian Toby Smith and Mike Demetriou of Victoria. A close bout at welterweight also went the distance. The representative of city-host took the win by split decision.
Among other bouts Danial “Mini T” Williams and Jesse Coruna battled it out for WKN Western Australia Bantamweight title. The contest ended prior to the final bell.
Coruna scored a knock down early in the first round with right hand. The following two rounds went back and forth. The fourth round saw Williams scoring a knockdown, which preceded a termination of the bout by the referee Bill Seth after Coruna again hit the canvas.
