Argentinian star Federico Roma was back in the ring this past Saturday (July 6) in Morón, Buenos Aires. Battling it out on the main card of Bosch Tour: Estrellas de Acero, “The Little Big Man” faced Darwin Saavedra of Uruguay. The pair squared off in the scheduled for three rounds international kickboxing bout at bantamweight.
The encounter didn’t go the distance. The representative of the country-host scored the win by knockout in the second round. The victory marked his return on the winning path after a stoppage defeat suffered against Tenshin Nasukawa at the RISE World Series in March. In addition, Roma updated his record to 64-4-1, 32 KO.
Over the course of his career Federico Roma has held WKN World Super Bantamweight titles in two different disciplines (oriental rules and Muay Thai). His resume includes the wins against Tomasz Makowski, Tristan Gaetano, among others.
In addition, World Kickboxing Network revealed that Roma has already been scheduled for his next international outing (via Twitter).
“Federico Roma makes victorious comeback by knockout in the second round against Darwin Saavedra at Bosch Tour held last Saturday in Morón, Buenos Aires. ‘The Little Big Man’ is scheduled for his next international quest. More information will be announced shortly.”
