GLORY Collision 2: Unfinished Business
The rematch between Rico Verhoeven and Badr Hari has been booked. The heavyweights meet for the second time on December 21 at GelreDome in Arnhem, Netherlands (Dec. 22 AEST). The contest headlines the event billed as “GLORY Collision 2: Unfinished Business”.
Verhoeven and Hari first met in December 2016. The contest ended in the second round. Verhoeven took the win by TKO after Hari received arm injury.

Rico Verhoeven (55-10-0, 16 KO) is a reigning GLORY Heavyweight champion. He was last seen in action in September 2018 in Amsterdam, where he retained his title by a unanimous decision against Guto Inocente.
Before that “The King of Kickboxing” defeated Mladen Brestovac, Jamal Ben Saddik, Antonio “BigFoot” Silva and Ismael Lazaar. He is riding the 11-win streak since February 2015.
“This is the fight that everybody wanted. And mark my words, I always finish what I start. No use running away this time,” said Verhoeven.
Badr Hari (106-13-0, 92 KO) last fought in March 2018 in Rotterdam, where he took a unanimous decision against Hesdy Gerges. The verdict was reportedly later overturned and declared “No Contest”, after both fighters tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
In May Hari signed a multi-fight multi-year contract with GLORY Kickboxing. A few other names were potentially in the poll to take on “Bad Boy / Golden Boy” in his return. Yet, he indeed faces Verhoeven.
“I know exactly what to expect from this fight but he doesn’t have any idea of who is coming after him. Rico will be facing Badr Hari for the first time,” said Hari.
