Petrosyan-Nattawut 2 joins Askerov-Sana in semi-final

Fresh off the win against Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy this past Friday (July 12) in Kuala Lumpur, Giorgio Petrosyan has been already announced for his next outing. Famed Italian kickboxer faces Thai Jo Nattawut at the upcoming “ONE: Dreams of Gold” event held at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on August 16.

Petrosyan and Nattawut square off in the semi-final bout of ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand. In addition, the pair meets for the second time.

Their first outing ended in favor of Petrosyan, who scored a unanimous decision in April 2018, making successful ONE Championship debut. After that he defeated Chingiz Allazov and Sorgraw Petchyindee, also by unanimous decision, and stopped Atsushi Tamefusa in the first round. In addition, leading to semi-final of WGP, “The Doctor” twice fought Phetmorakot, winning the most recent bout by unanimous decision.

Following the defeat against Petrosyan, Nattawut rebounced with the first-round knockout win scored against Yohann Drai. After that he took a pair of wins by decision against George Mann and Samy Sana. In his previous bout “Smokin” stopped Sasha Moisa in the third round, which earned him a ticket to semi-final and an opportunity to take a revenge over Petrosyan.

The second semi-final of ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix is scheduled to see Dzhabar Askerov up against Samy Sana. The bout is yet to be formally added to the “ONE: Dreams of Gold” fight card.

Battling it out in the opening round in May, Askerov scored a unanimous decision against Enriko Kehl. Sana defeated Yodsanklai Fairtex, also by unanimous decision.

More information and additional bouts for ONE: Dreams of Gold are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
