Shields-Dunne for WKN Celtic Lightweight title
The World Kickboxing Network visits Scotland with a pair of title bouts contested in the headliner of “Rise of Champions”. The event presented by Albert Ross takes place at the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre in Fraserburgh this coming Saturday July 20.
The main event features the representative of the country-host Mikey Shields up against Cathal Dunne of Ireland. The pair meets in the WKN Celtic Lightweight championship in Full Contact. The bout is scheduled for four rounds.

Also on the night Williams Stewart takes on his countryman Rhys Cowan. The 68 kg MMA encounter is scheduled for three rounds with WKN Scottish National title on the line.
The rest of the card features a series of bouts in Full Contact, low kick, oriental rules (K-1 style) and MMA. The roster includes the representatives of Scotland, Ireland and England.
“We are happy to return to Scotland with this great event presented by Albert Ross, who has been devoted to kickboxing for over 30 years and has organised numerous shows,” said Stephane Cabrera, President of World Kickboxing Network. “Rise of Champions is dedicated to build a new generation of kickboxing stars representing Scotland. We are looking forward to a spectacular show this Saturday and future events to come.”
Rise of Champions is one of two upcoming events in Scotland. It precedes WKN British Open scheduled for August 3 in Fraserburgh.
In addition, it is presented back to back with another WKN championship event, LNK Fight Night 12, held on the same day (July 20) in Jurmala, Latvia.
