Ramesh Habib and Hamish Dempsey squared off on April 27, 2013 in Melbourne, Australia. The bout was featured on the “Kings of Kombat 9” fight card topped by the first three-round encounter between Dzhabar Askerov and Steve Moxon.
The video of the headline-bout, which ended in a split decision in favor of Moxon, has been previously released. The Habib vs. Depsey bout hit the stream this week.
The contest saw the scheduled for five rounds Australia vs. New Zealand battle out of lightweights. Yet, the encounter didn’t go the distance. The representative of the country-host, Ramesh Habib claimed the win by TKO in the fourth round after landing right elbow followed by a couple of high kicks, which resulted in the fight being waved off by the referee.
Ray Dimachki vs. Ben Kelleher 2
The event also featured a rematch between Ray Dimachki of Victoria and Ben Kelleher of Northern Territory. Their first bout a year earlier ended in favor of Dimachki, who took the third-round TKO win and the WKN Australian Heavyweight title.
Their second encounter went a full five-round distance. The verdict heard a majority decision in favor of Kelleher, who as well earned WKN Australian Super Cruiserweight belt.
Chris Harrington vs. Evarard Augustine
Among other bouts featured on the card Chris Harrington of Victoria faced Evarard Augustine of Northern Territory. The pair battled it out for WKN Australian Super Welterweight title in Muay Thai.
The scheduled for five rounds clash ended prior to the final bell. The contest was stopped by the doctor after the third round due to cut received by Augustine. As a result Harrington was awarded a TKO victory and took the strap.
