Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman square off at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, NV on July 21 (AEST). The encounter tops the fight card on FOX pay-per-view.
Thurman (29-0-0, 22 KO, 1 NC) puts his WBA (Super) welterweight title on the line, making six defense of his belt. The 30-year-old American boxer enters the ring undefeated in 29 professional outings. In his most recent bout he retained the belt by majority decision against Josesito Lopez.
Pacquiao (61-7-2, 39 KO) holds WBA (Regular) welterweight title. The 40-year-old boxing legend from Philippines is victorious in two previous bouts against Adrien Broner by unanimous decision and Lucas Matthysse by seventh-round TKO.

At the official weigh-in ceremony both fighters successfully made the required 147-pound limit. Stepping on the scales each showed 146.5. The world championship bout is scheduled for twelve rounds.
Also on the card Yordenis Ugas and Omar Figueroa weighed-in at 147 for their welterweight matchup.
Luis Nery first came in heavy showing 118.5 for his bantamweight bout against Juan Carlos Payano, who was 117.5. He made the required limit within an hour making it official on the second attempt.
