The upcoming UFC 243 fight card reportedly received two new bouts. According to Dutch portal MMA DNA reporting on Thursday (AEST), Tai Tuivasa goes up against Sergey Spivak at heavyweight, and Nadia Kassem faces off Ji Yeon Kim at women’s flyweight. The event takes place at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia on October 6.

Tai Tuivasa (8-2) lost two of his previous bouts. In June he suffered the defeat by unanimous decision against Blagoy Ivanov, which followed the defeat by TKO in the second round against Junior dos Santos last December. Before that “Bam Bam” was undefeated in eight outings, which includes the wins against Andrei Arlovski, Cyril Asker, Rashad Coulter, among others.
Sergey Spivak (9-1) also lost his previous bout. Making his UFC debut he was stopped by Walt Harris in the first round, which snapped his nine-win streak. Earlier in his career he defeated the likes of Tony Lopez, Ivo Cuk and others.
Nadia Kassem (5-1) faced her first career defeat in February when she was submitted by Montana De La Rosa in the second round. In her UFC debut in November 2017 she scored a unanimous decision against Alex Chambers.
Ji Yeon Kim (8-2) is coming off the defeat by unanimous decision against Antonina Shevchenko last November. Before that she took two wins by split decision against Melinda Fabian and Justine Kish.
The promotion is yet to formally announce the above matchups.
UFC 243 is headlined by Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya in the middleweight championship unification. The tickets for the event go sale on August 16.
