The World Kickboxing Network has announced its next visit to Argentina scheduled for September 1 (Sep 2 AEST). The event billed as “Estrellas de Acero 3” takes place at Club Morón in Morón, Buenos Aires, the organisation announced this week.
Estrellas de Acero 3 follows the previous event produced alongside “Bosch Tour” in July at the same venue. The highlight of the show saw Gaston Monroe winning WKN Argentinian Lightweight title by TKO in the second round against his countryman Dylan Salazar. In addition, Federico Roma made a victorious return by knockout in the second round against Darwin Saavedra.
An upcoming event is expected to see a series of amateur bouts. The roster includes full contact, light contact, kickboxing (low kick) and MMA.

A series of events “Estrellas de Acero” (Steel Stars, Eng.) is presented by Jorge “Acero” Cali. The former World Kickboxing Network Cruiserweight champion himself has been looking to set a fight with former world champion boxer in two weight classes Marcos “El Chino” Maidana. The bout is yet to be confirmed.
Over the years, South American capital of kickboxing, Argentina has held numerous world-class events. Among everything, the list includes eight episodes of Simply the Best produced in such cities as Buenos Aires, San Luis, Cordoba and Moreno, featuring World, Intercontinental and subordinate title bouts. The list of prominent kickboxers representing the country includes Fede Roma, Christian Bosch, Ignacio Capllonch, Nicolas Vega, among others.
