Saenchai defeats Cem Deniz at Thai Fight Kham Chanod

Saenchai was back in action last night (August 24) in Udon Thani, Thailand. The famed Muay Thai fighter faced Cem Deniz of Australia in the headliner of “Thai Fight Kham Chanod”. The pair squared off in the 69 kg catchweight bout, which went a three-round distance. The verdict heard a unanimous decision in favor of the representative of the country-host.

The opening round saw a fast paced action with both fresh and full of energy competitors aspiring to declare their dominance inside the ring. Yet, it was Saenchai who put on pressure during the following three minutes. The final round also went one way. Although the Australian fighter tried to pull something out of the pocket he was mostly surviving, as they say.

Ultimately, Saenchai, who celebrated his 39th birthday last month, updated his record to 311-49-2. The former four-division Lumpinee Boxing Stadium champion is riding the 48-fight win streak since November 2014.

The rest of the card included a series of bouts in Kard Chuek, where instead of boxing gloves the rope is used around hand and forearm. The contests featured the representative of Thailand up against international opponents coming from Iran, Uzbekistan, Peru, Algeria and Spain.
