Australian featherweight River Daz makes his second appearance inside the GLORY ring on October 13 (AEST). Going through the ropes in Dusseldorf, Germany, Melbourne kickboxer faces Masaya Kubo of Japan in a three-round battle, FIGHTMAG learned.
Daz (25-0-1, 6 KO) made his GLORY Kickboxing debut this past March in French city Strasbourg, where he took a split decision against Vincent Foschiani. He was expected to take on Justin Greskiewicz at GLORY 67 Orlando in July, but the bout didn’t go ahead.
Kubo (17-11-0, 5 KO) was last seen in action in June in Paris, where lost by unanimous decision against Aleksei Ulianov. Before that he dropped a unanimous decision against Chenchen Li in a rematch following their first-bout, which he won by knockout in the first round.
GLORY 69 Dusseldorf is headlined by newly-crowned lightweight champion Marat Grigorian in defense of his title against challenger Tyjani Beztati. The championship bout is scheduled for five rounds.
