Bellator MMA returns to Israel on November 15 (AEST) with the event No. 234 held at Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv. The headline bout features Sergei Kharitonov and Linton Vassell squaring off at heavyweight, the promotion announced on Thursday.

Sergei Kharitonov (29-6, 2 NC) is fresh off the second-round stoppage win against Matt Mitrione in an immediate rematch held at Bellator 225 late last month in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The contest followed their first bout, which ended in “No Contest” due to accidental low blow this past February. Before that Kharitonov stopped Roy Nelson in the first round.

Linton Vassell (18-8, 1NC) lost three of his previous bouts against Valentin Moldavsky, Phil Davis and Ryan Bader. His most recent win was in May 2017 when he submitted Liam McGeary in the third round. Prior to that he earned a couple of unanimous decision wins against Francis Carmont and Emanuel Newton.

The co-main event is a lightweight encounter between Roger Huerta (24-11-1, 1 NC) and Sidney Outlaw (13-3). Also on the main card Austin Vanderford (8-0) faces Grachik Bozinyan (10-3) at middleweight, and former women’s featherweight title challenger Olga Rubin (6-1) returns to action, taking on Sinead Kavanagh (5-4).

Other matchups are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The current lineup for Bellator 234 can be found below.
